HS code for posters, prints and paintings
A printed poster or art print is printed matter, 4911 91 of heading 4911; a painting made entirely by hand is heading 9701, and an original print from plates the artist made by hand is heading 9702, both split by whether they are more than 100 years old.

An original print is printed directly from plates made entirely by hand by the artist, not by a mechanical or photomechanical process (chapter 97, note 3). A poster or art print printed any other way is printed matter of 4911 91.

The €3 customs duty per item
Since 1 July 2026 the EU charges €3 customs duty per item in a parcel worth up to €150. Goods with the same tariff code are one item.
How many digits of the code count depends on the declaration: 6 on H7, 8 on H6, and 10 on a full H1 declaration, where origin and description also separate items.
