HS code finder: the EU tariff code for your product
Since 1 July 2026 the EU charges €3 customs duty per item in a parcel worth up to €150. Goods with the same tariff code are one item.
How many digits of the code count depends on the declaration: 6 on H7, 8 on H6, and 10 on a full H1 declaration, where origin and description also separate items.
Check the code before you file it
The finder suggests a code from your words. It is not a ruling: a binding one, called a BTI, comes only from a customs authority. Compare the official text it shows with your product, and look the code up in the EU's TARIC database. You are responsible for the code on your declaration.
Questions
What does the answer show?
The 6-digit HS code and, where the EU's tariff has one under it, the 8-digit CN code. Under them, the official wording of the line and of the headings above it, taken from the EU's Combined Nomenclature 2026, so that you can read the code against the words. Then a short reason, how clearly your description points to one code, and up to three other codes that came close.
What if my description is too vague?
A code often depends on a fact the description leaves out, such as what the product is made of, whether it is knitted or woven, or who it is for. The finder then gives its best code as a guess and says what to add. Where the tariff splits on that fact, it also asks which of the tariff's own lines fits. If your answer leaves one line, the code is taken from it; if not, the finder looks again with your answer added. You can also add the fact to the description and look again.
Does it give the 10-digit TARIC code?
No, it stops at the 8-digit CN code. A full H1 declaration needs 10 digits, with the origin: the EU's TARIC database has them.
How many lookups can I make?
5 a day for each visitor, and a limit for each day for everyone together. The count starts again at midnight UTC. Answering one of the finder's questions counts only when the finder has to ask its language model again.
Which languages?
Write the description in English or Dutch. The official tariff text and the reasons are in English.
Where your description goes
Your description goes to our server and from there to a cloud language model, which proposes the code. Do not type personal data: the finder does not need any. When you answer one of its questions, the page sends your description again with the answer, because the server does not keep it in between.
Read in Google's EU region, not used for training. A request flagged by Google's abuse checks may be kept up to 90 days, in the EU. FreightParse keeps no copy on its server.
The server's log records the length of a description and a fingerprint of it, never the words, and whether you came to the page from one of our ads. The daily limit counts lookups per visitor with a scrambled form of the IP address, which is kept in memory for the day and then dropped.

Suggested code
Best guess, not final
No code to suggest
Looked up again, with the words of your answer added to the description.
No 8-digit CN code was chosen. The 6-digit code stands.
Confidence is the finder's own rating of how clearly your description points to one code. It is not a measured accuracy.
From your answer: the line of the tariff you chose gives the 6 digits.
What the code depends on
The tariff splits on something your description does not say. Choose what fits your product: the answers are the tariff's own lines. With Not sure, the guess stays as it is.
