FreightParse and Logentic

Both are in Rotterdam and both read a shipment's documents, but Logentic takes on far more of a forwarding desk's work. Below is what each one's own pages say, side by side, read on 12 October 2026, and where Logentic is the stronger choice. Logentic's pages are in Dutch; the quotes are translated beside them.

Forward one shipment's e-mail todocs@freightparse.com

From your work address, with the invoice and packing list as PDFs. In the first reply you accept the trial terms with one button; then that shipment is read, and the goods lines come back in the same thread, usually within 5 minutes. No reply within 10 minutes? Check your junk folder, or write to danil@freightparse.com. Free for 14 days, about 20 pages a day.

Rather accept the terms before you send anything? Use the button above. Or upload in your browser (read in the cloud), or ask a question first.

In short

Logentic sells an AI agent called Alex that takes over manual work across a forwarding desk: booking e-mails, TMS entry, quotes, Portbase and the preparation of customs declarations, written into the systems you already use. The price follows an intake; the first two weeks are free.

FreightParse does one part of that: it reads the invoice and packing list into the goods lines and writes them as a file for the declaration software you already use. It does not classify and does not file. It is run by one person.

Side by side

From each one's own public pages, read on 12 October 2026. Every cell for Logentic links the page it comes from.

What it doesReads a shipment's supplier invoice and packing list, scans included, into the goods lines of the customs declaration, and writes them as a file for the declaration software you already use.An AI agent, Alex, for forwarding and customs desks. It leest e-mails en documenten, maakt orders, offerteaanvragen en douanewerk klaar, en werkt de systemen bij die uw team al gebruikt (reads e-mails and documents, prepares orders, quote requests and customs work, and updates the systems your team already uses). Home page.
Files the declarationNo. It does not file declarations and it does not classify goods: it reads the commodity code the document prints. Your declarant checks and files, in your own software. No: Alex bereidt voor, u keurt goed en dient in via uw DMS (Alex prepares, you approve and file through your declaration software). It proposes the HS code, fills in the customs value and the parties, prepares T1 and MRN, and sets the declaration ready in your software. Customs page.

The data processing agreement comes with the trial. Its security page: files and the database in Google Cloud (Firebase) in the EU; the application runs on Vercel; Rekencapaciteit voor de applicatie en voor de AI-modellen staat deels buiten de EU (Verenigde Staten), onder de standaardcontractbepalingen van de Europese Commissie. (Computing for the application and for the AI models is partly outside the EU, in the United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.) Documents are read by Anthropic's language models through the business API and are not used for training. Security page.
Where each value came fromA separate file, lines_sources.csv, gives for every value the page and the text as printed there. On a text PDF the match is checked for you; on a scan you look at the page yourself.Elk veld met bron, elke afwijking gemeld (every field with its source, every discrepancy reported), and an audit trail for each declaration: the sources, the HS code choice, the calculation and the checks. Home page, customs page.

Where Logentic is stronger

  • It covers far more than the goods lines: booking e-mails, TMS entry, quotes, Portbase, track and trace, and the whole preparation of the declaration, with an HS code proposal and the customs value. FreightParse reads goods lines and nothing else.
  • It writes into your systems itself: Softpak, AEB, DTV and Descartes for customs, and CargoWise, Riege Scope and Boltrics among the TMS packages. With FreightParse your declarant imports a file.
  • The setup is done for you, and the first two weeks are free.
  • A team in Rotterdam that works in Dutch. FreightParse is one person.
  • A demo workspace you can try without an account.

When FreightParse may fit better

  • The price is on our page; at Logentic a quote follows a 30-minute intake.
  • Nothing to connect: you forward an e-mail and get a file back. Logentic connects Alex to your mailbox and your TMS.
  • Where the reading happens: FreightParse reads in Google's EU region; Logentic's security page says the computing for its AI models is partly in the United States, under the standard contractual clauses. If your clients ask where their documents are read, that difference may count.
  • You only need the goods lines read, and your team keeps doing the rest.

How this page was made

Everything in the Logentic column comes from Logentic's own public pages, read on 12 October 2026, linked in each cell and listed below. Accuracy figures are left out: each vendor measures in its own way, on its own documents, so the numbers cannot be set side by side; FreightParse's test, its documents and its scoring are public (how it was tested). Prices and features change, so check Logentic's pages before you decide. FreightParse is not affiliated with Logentic. If anything here is wrong or out of date, write to danil@freightparse.com and it will be corrected.
